Below are some of the questions we are often approached with. We hope these answer any queries you may have. Please do not hesitate, however, to contact us if you need any further clarification on any aspect of a Terracotta Trails holiday.
   
Q1 How much is the single supplement?
We only charge £60 (€ 85) for a single room.
   
Q2 How fit do I have to be?
Moderately fit.
   
Q3 What is included in a Terracotta Trails holiday?
Everything other than your flights and lunch/dinner on the free day.
   
Q4 What is the average age on the holidays?
Ages range from late 20s to late 60s, with an average core group of 45 - 55.
   
Q5 What equipment should I bring with me?
A full list can be found by clicking on "What to Bring".
   
Q6 Are there vegetarian options on the menu?
We ensure there is always a vegetarian option available on the menu and we do our best to cater for any other dietary requirements.
   
Q7 Are the hotel rooms en-suite?
All hotel rooms are comfortable and have en-suite facilities.
   
Q8 Do you get many people travelling by themselves?
All groups tend to be a mix of couples, singles and friends and there is always a good sense of camaraderie.
   
Q9 Is the pool heated?
Although there is no heating system for the pool, it is refreshing when you come back from a walk!
   
Q10 Will I be met at the airport?
There will always be a member of Terracotta Trails staff to meet you at Rome Fiumicino or Rome Ciampino airports on your arrival between 10:00a.m. and 1:00p.m.
   
Q11 What kind of travel insurance do I need?
You will need to ensure you are covered for travel and medical emergencies and we ask UK visitors to bring your E111 form which can be obtained at any Post Office.
   
Q12 Are there local emergency facilities?
There is a local doctor and a hospital for emergencies.
   
Q13 How long is each walk?
The walks are between 8 and 11 miles.
   
Q14 How long do the cooking sessions last?
two to three hours, with a session in the morning and one in the afternoon.
Q15 What time do walks start and finish?
We aim to start the walks after breakfast and return by 4:30p.m. to give everyone a chance to have a swim or freshen up before dinner.
